Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 September 2026. These Terms apply to every ARayOfSunshine Product and may be reused as the custom EULA / Terms of Use link for all of our App Store listings.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and ARayOfSunshine, Inc. ("ARayOfSunshine," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of our desktop and mobile applications (each a "Product"), our websites including arayofsunshine.dev and buy.arayofsunshine.dev (the "Sites"), and related services.

By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using a Product or Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Products or Sites.

For purchases made through the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these Terms and Apple's standard EULA conflict on a topic Apple requires, Apple's required terms control for that App Store purchase.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA/UK if that is the digital-consent age where you live) to use the Products. If you are under the age of majority, you may use a Product only with a parent or guardian's consent, and they are responsible for your use and for any purchases. The Products are not designed for children and are not in Apple's Kids Category.

2. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Product on devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or other applicable store terms, and solely for your own use.

You may not:

All logos, splash screens, page headers, images, and graphics on the Sites and in the Products are trademarks or trade dress of ARayOfSunshine or its licensors. Unauthorized use may violate copyright, trademark, or other laws.

3. Apple In-App Purchases and subscriptions

Some Products offer one-time In-App Purchases and/or auto-renewable subscriptions. Digital content, feature unlocks, and subscriptions sold inside an Apple-platform Product are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment on your Apple Account. We do not collect your Apple Account password or full payment card details from those purchases.

Before you confirm a subscription, the Product will show the subscription name, duration, content or services provided, full price and renewal price, any trial terms, and links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Prices vary by Product, plan, and region and are charged in the currency displayed by Apple.

If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription:

A subscription gives you the premium or unlocked features described on that Product's purchase screen for the paid period (for example full feature access and ongoing updates for that Product). We will fulfill the marketed offering for the entire paid period.

One-time (non-consumable) In-App Purchases do not auto-renew. You can restore eligible App Store purchases on devices signed in with the same Apple Account by using Restore Purchases in the Product. Family Sharing applies only if we enable it for that Product in App Store Connect.

After a successful purchase, the Product unlocks the corresponding features. You are responsible for using Restore Purchases or signing in if the Product links entitlements to an account.

4. Website purchases and other stores

This website does not currently provide an online checkout. If a Product is later sold through a non-App Store checkout or another store, the applicable checkout terms, order confirmation, and merchant's privacy policy will identify the seller, price, and refund process. A website license does not replace an App Store subscription unless we expressly say so in the Product.

Subscriptions and digital unlocks sold inside Apple-platform Products must use Apple In-App Purchase. The Product will not steer you to an external checkout for those digital goods.

5. Free trials and changes in price

If we offer a free trial through the App Store, Apple starts billing unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Trial availability and length are shown before you confirm.

If we increase the price of an existing auto-renewable subscription in a region that requires your consent, Apple will prompt you. If you do not agree, auto-renewal may be turned off and access ends at the close of the already-paid period.

6. Refunds and cancellation

App Store In-App Purchases and subscriptions: billing, cancellation of auto-renewal, and refund requests are handled by Apple. Cancel auto-renewal in your Apple Account settings to stop the next charge. Canceling auto-renewal does not usually refund the current period; you typically keep access until it ends. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com or Apple support. We cannot process App Store refunds ourselves.

7. Third-party services, including Firebase

Some Products use third-party services such as Google Firebase (authentication, cloud data, analytics, crash reporting, or push notifications). Other Products do not include Firebase and do not send data to it. Where a Product uses a third-party service, that service's terms and privacy policy also apply to data it processes. Our Privacy Policy explains what is collected and that a Firebase section applies only if that Product includes Firebase.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services we do not control. Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not responsible for, our Products or any contests or promotions we may offer.

8. Your content and acceptable use

You retain ownership of files and content you process in a Product. You grant us a limited license to host or process that content only as needed to provide the features you use (for example cloud sync in a Product that offers it). Many features run locally on your device and do not upload your files.

You are responsible for backing up your data and for having the rights to the files you process. You must not use a Product to infringe others' rights, to process unlawful content, or to disrupt the service. We may suspend access for abuse, fraud, or legal risk.

There are inherent risks in downloading and using software. You are responsible for protecting and backing up your data and equipment.

9. Feedback

Comments, ideas, or other feedback you send us are non-confidential. You grant ARayOfSunshine a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use that feedback for any purpose, including improving Products, without any obligation to you.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Products and Sites are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Products will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ARayOfSunshine and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Products or Sites. Our total liability for any claim relating to a Product or Site will not exceed the amount you paid to us for that Product in the twelve months before the claim (or, for an App Store purchase, the amount Apple remitted to us for that purchase). Some places do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your country or under Apple's terms.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ARayOfSunshine, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, agents, and employees from and against claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your use of a Product or Site, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Copyright and reproductions

Copyright in the Sites and Products (including text, graphics, logos, sounds, and software) is owned or licensed by ARayOfSunshine, Inc. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works except as these Terms allow. Any authorized copy must keep our copyright and trademark notices.

13. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. The "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. We may stop offering a Product or a subscription tier. If an auto-renewable subscription will not be fulfilled as marketed, Apple may refund some or all of the affected period under Apple's rules.

Your license ends if you breach these Terms. You may stop using a Product at any time. Ending use does not automatically refund purchases.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer law of your country requires otherwise. If you acquired a Product from the App Store, you may also have rights under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions for your country.
